Lucky we live HK

I thought I should post a few photos of where we live, since a few people have expressed interest/concern ;). We love our little 'flat', it is about 350 sq feet, but it lives very nicely. It is much more clean and updated then we had expected(/feared). We really like our landlady, but with all of the messy paperwork that is living in a foreign country, it took us longer than I would have liked to get in. We have been in for about 6 (?) weeks now, and it has felt like home ever since the first night we were here. Just having our own place has been amazing, because it has been one year this week, since we had an apartment of our own (so we went about 11 months bumming off family- thanks guys!).
When we first moved in Sunnee's domestic helper, Lea, and her sister Gurlee, offered to come and clean before we put our things in. They are great ladies, and it was a giant blessing. So we moved in to a sparkling apartment, with the help from Sunnee's whole family, and several of the men in our branch here. Initially we mostly had our suitcases full of clothes, a sofa bed, a crib, a clothes dryer, a table, and a glider chair. Although, as I said, it felt like home immediately, slowly filling our apartment with things that made it more convenient to live in has been SO exciting. It really makes you appreciate the little things. I can distinctly remember each of our purchases- a tv stand, a rug, shelves, a wardrobe, towel hooks, a trash can, a dish drying rack, curtains, a ridiculously expensive and hard to find step stool, and most recently- a BED (all of about two weeks now). We are still short a few items ( I look forward to the day I can SIT at our table, instead of looking at it as I sit on the couch and eat off of a tv dinner table). But we have made some major progress.

Welcome to our home.
The infamous bed- only took us a month to get one ;)

Our bathroom. Many of you will be surprised to know that the thing between the sink and the shower is our washing machine.

Our kitchen. It is much larger and has infinitely more storage than any other kitchen in our price range. You can even have two people stand semi comfortably in it at a time, therefore I call it a '2 person kitchen'.

Rest of the kitchen.

Thanks for dropping by!
And for any of you wanting to come by in real life, we do have a sofa bed that is pretty comfy. We know, we slept on it for a month.
