Christmas Break

The holiday season has been so great! My last final was Friday, December, 16, and then we were free, free, free until January 9, 2012 (tomorrow). Me and Scottie spent alot of time with my brother Burke and his family, going to the beach and hanging out watching some of our faveorite tv seires; Criminal Minds, White Collar, The Office and Lie to Me.
On Christmas Eve we went to a small cove beach with Burke's family and their friends, the Wardel's their family friends. There were turtle's everywhere, and we rode the kayak that Burke and Nancy got for Christmas. That evening me and Scott continued the Holbrook family tradition of getting pizza for dinner. We spent that night at Burke's house and got to play Santa for the first time.
Christmas Day- we got to watch the kids open their gifts, it just isn't Christmas with no kids around! Sienna got an iPod, Sage had a dolphin themed gifts, Seqoyah was thrilled with every gift he got, and although Kai was tricked into thinking the best gift he was getting was a lunchbox, "It even has a tupperware in the bottom, and it came with coupons... for school supplies,"he got the cutest pure black bunny, immediately naming it Midnight. I got Scottie some presents to go with his iPhone and headphones, Burke and Nancy gave us a boogie board and the German version of the Ticket to Ride game (watch out world we are going to conquer all versions of the game!!). We got some great gifts from both sets of parents- Scott's iphone, and books, clothes and shoes for me. Scottie got me the most wonderful necklace, a charm type with all of the Horcrux's from Harry Potter on it.
We went to all sorts of new beaches, hiked up to Makapu Lighthouse, where I saw a WHALE jump, and on January 2nd we went with Burke's and the Wardell family to Chinamen's hat. The adults walked and pulled the horde of kids on surfboards and one adult paddled the kayak full of kids with a boogie board attached to the back with one more kid on it. When we got to the Chinamen's hat island we hiked to the top- what a view!
These are some of our first ornaments- and the only ones we have here, thanks mom and dad!

Anyways, this is just a short update on what we've done over the vacation, but alas, tomorrow we start school again. I'm dreading having to share Scott with so many people, and giving up some of my 12 hours of sleep I've been getting, but oh well- sometimes life in Paradise is hard!
To cheer us up here are (a lot) of pictures from the break!
This is Scott's Christmas sock I made him last year, he is a Dallas Cowboys player!
We didn't have a tree so this counter became our Christmas 'area'.
These are some of our first ornaments- and the only ones we have here, thanks mom and dad!
This is Scottie on his birthday. I forgot to write about them, but his was December 8!!!
And this is me on my birthday, December 12!
On our way to Outback Steakhouse for my birthday, we saw a lovely sunset!
Me and Scottie made sugar cookies for about half the ward, I swear!
Way to bring the Holiday Spirit though.
Mmmmmmm.
This is the cove with turtles where we spent Christmas Eve Day.
Merry Christmas, y'all.
A view of where we live from Pounder's beach.
Just some golden sunlight at Pounder's.
Makapu lighthouse! Sadly this is the closest you can get to it...
More of Makapu.
Look at that sky! Here it can be raining in your front yard and sunny in the back.
This was a big wave day, so big about 1/2 the beaches were roped off. Those rocks the waves crashing into are about my height.
Just a beach holiday gathering!
This is Seqoyah playing with his daddy's 'button' (aka a nipple).
Kai and his friend trying not to get wet. Little boys are so cute!
This is Nancy (on top of the boat) and Scott kayaking!
I love this post. I'm jealous of your life!
