This Part II sum of the last five months of our marriage/life that I have not blogged is based around our adventures!!! (PS Did I mention that today is one month from the day we got married! How lucky am I? I got to marry my best friend forever, and that same best friends just happens to be wildly good looking, hilarious, and so sweet. Eternity just looks better every day :) )
These pictures are of us at the Lighthouse hike over by Macapu beach. It's a paved easy schmeasy hike (obviously I was sweating like a pig anyways), and when you get to the top there are gorgeous views and you can usually spot some whales! I saw one jump up in the air and me and Scottie both saw some spouting. Very cool. Next on my checklist? Dolphins!
This is the top of the Lighthouse hike. Unfortunately you can no longer go up to the actual lighthouse, but what a great view.

THIS little gem is our first time at Matsumoto's shaved ice in Haleiwa. I always thought that I hated shaved ice, but Utah had tricked me! I hate 'snow cones' which are hard bits of ice with really sweet flavors. I love love love shaved ice! Matsumoto's is famous because they will put ice cream at the bottom and/or sweet Azuki beans. Not seen here is the time we got Matsumoto's with Scott's parents and I decided to try these beans, because they were famous so they had to be great right? Right? Wrong. Sadly me and Dave both got the famous beans and they were horrible. Disgusting. Wretched. Literally, it was just like someone put beans at the bottom of your shaved ice and you had to pick around them for the ice-cream. I don't know what I was expecting, magic beans? But obviously I didn't expect it to just taste like BEANS, because who put legumes in their lemonade and raspberry shaved ice and then raves about it? Asians apparently. Or whoever the crazy tourists are that made it famous (promise I'm not racist, it just must be some cultural thing and that's why I don't get it).

White Plains beach! This is my favorite beach by far. Lots of sand, very clean, almost no coral and the waves are always perfect for beginning surfers like me. By the way, I can 'catch' most waves on my belly and I can stand up about 1/3 of the time.... not to brag.
AND I am wearing the new polka-dot retro swimsuit my momma gave me for Christmas. Thanks mom!
These three pictures were all taken by Lisa when they were here for a week. Sadly I haven't been able to find any pictures of us four together during that time but let me tell you, that was an adventure too! We went to different beaches, swam out to and hiked Chinaman's hat, played a lot of Ticket to Ride, saw a movie (Mission Impossible 4, the second theatre movie in our married career), eat really well, and had some great fun. We missed them immediately after they left.
This section of pictures is me and Scott with some of our good friends, Glen and Sam, hiking up Sacred Falls in Hauula.
Everything was green and lush and the bugs were just having a grand old time on me and Glen.
However you have to be careful, because the hike was closed years ago (a rock slide killed some tourists there, and apparently some locals thought it was because they were halies in a 'sacred' Hawaiin place). Just be sure to park where they can't see your car and hop the fence. Not that I told you that.

This is the fence we climbed. Luckily our friends (who shall remain anonymous to remain innocent) live right on the edge of the Sacred Falls hike so they put up a ladder to help us hikers out.
Then a stop for fresh coconuts in Devin and Drianne's backyard.
Refreshing.
